Midday (12:40 PM CT, Oct 22): BTC ~$81.1K (-3.9% 24h; 24h $81.1K-$84.8K), giving back all of Wednesday's run at $85K. The drop is macro-driven: a deep AI-stock selloff and oil near five-month highs on Middle East tension pushed risk assets lower and revived rate worries (Investing.com, CoinDesk). Leverage got flushed: ~$139M of BTC liquidations in 24h, 97% of them longs (TRdesk). Signals: 1h Sell (RSI ~29), 4h Strong Sell, 1d Neutral (under EMA20 ~$82.6K, above EMA50 ~$80.8K).

Underneath, spot ETFs keep buying: +$524.8M on Oct 21 and ~$1.07B over three sessions (Farside). The Oct 15-18 lows ($80.1K-80.8K, the 30-day low) are the range floor; the slate now bids there (T009, low conviction) after T007 was stopped at $80.8K. Yen: USD/JPY ~157.0 (Yahoo; BOJ's day range 156.85-158.25, from ~158.2) and the Nikkei -2.65%: the yen is firming but 155 hasn't broken, and the BOJ meets Oct 29-30 after the Fed on Oct 28; carry-unwind risk is elevated, not acute, and it's a reason for low leverage.
